The Caroline Reaper has been bred to be one of the sweetest super-hot peppers there is. You do get to taste these peppers before the heat hits. Then it's a slow burn. It takes about 30 seconds for the heat to hit. It lasts for about half an hour before dissipating. As always Grouchy has lots of flavor with the heat.
